Headline #1: Stargazing: Eye on the Night Sky
Synopsis: A ‘close encounter of the planetary sort’ appears low in the eastern skies tomorrow morning. From 5:30 to 5:45 AM, Mercury gives us it’s best morning view for 2017, joined just below it by the much fainter Mars. Each morning this weekend, Mars will climb a little higher above Mercury. The Scorpion lowers into the southwest through the month, followed by the Teapot in Sagittarius. Between them Saturn remains in view, getting lower each evening. Earlier evenings feature the Big Dipper sinking lower into the northwestern skies, while the broad, faint path of the Milky Way arches from northeast to southwest.
Headline #2: Goodbye, Cassini!
Synopsis: Confirmation of the end of the 20-year Cassini mission at Saturn arrived at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory at 7:55 a.m. EDT today (11:55 UTC on September 15, 2017) with the loss of the spacecraft’s signal having occurred 83 minutes earlier at Saturn, nearly a billion miles (some 1.4 billion km) from Earth. The mission concluded with an intentional plunge into the planet, with the goal of ensuring that Saturn’s icy moons – in particular ocean-bearing Enceladus – does not risk being contaminated by microbes that might have remained on board the spacecraft from Earth.
Headline #3: Eight Steering Wheel-Shaped Yellow/Orange Orbs
Synopsis: I saw eight steering wheel-shaped yellow/orange orbs which appeared approximately for five minutes in the sky, fading their lights, but they could still be seen, then their lights shined brightly again on and off– once or sometimes twice–two of them had green and red lights, too when they started to move away; they hovered around initially altogether, creating a triangle shape in the sky, a little similar to aeroplane displays, but then separated, disappearing behind other apartment buildings out of view and others toward a far away mountain to the right.
Headline #4: UFO Shocker: Is This The Bottom of a Flying Saucer Hovering Over Photographer’s Head?
Synopsis: The “craft” was reportedly photographed by a man, who had to “bend over backwards” to get it in sight above an oil refinery. The extraordinary image was revealed to the audience at the Outer Limits Magazine 70 Years of the Modern UFO Era conference in Hull by UFO investigator Malcolm Robinson. Mr. Robinson, who has investigated UFOs since the 1980s, said it was the most remarkable UFO picture he has come across. He told the audience that two men were photographing the BP oil refinery at Grangemouth, central Scotland, at night when they spotted a distant red object. It then flew directly towards them, he said.
Headline #5: UFO Sighting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Synopsis: I was driving home–this wasn’t a normal thing in the sky–thought it was a helicopter at first–a cylinder-shape, bright red on top, bright white on the bottom; no sound–passed by three times then disappeared into the clouds and did it again–but you did not see it appear the second and third time–it just did that same flight pattern; I felt scared and excited at the same time–didn’t know if I should call someone or take a video…
Headline #6: Black Triangle Sighting in Vancouver, Washington
Synopsis: We stepped outside the front door to smoke, we were looking at the big dipper, when I turned and noticed strange lights to the northwest, so we watched for a few moments and realized it was not a plane; my adult son was with me and I pointed it out to him and we stood and watched it–he asked if I had any binoculars, which I did not–then he said ‘I’ll get my phone, it has a zoom feature!’ we watched for about five minutes and it did not move it’s location.
Headline #7: UFO Sighting in Marysville, California
Synopsis: I was driving on Highway 20 in California near Marysville, heading back towards Auburn about 7:30 p.m. on September 11th, 2017–it was cloudy and very misty and very humid–it had just finished raining when I noticed half a rainbow coming out of a cloud, so I decided to take a picture of the rainbow and noticed at the bottom of this rainbow, a white orb that was moving towards the rainbow.
Headline #8: New Coin Marks UFO Anniversary
Synopsis: As all UFO enthusiasts know, the headline of the “Roswell Daily Record” for July 9, 1947, read: “RAAF Captures Flying Saucer On Ranch in Roswell Region.” It was the beginning of what would become the most famous UFO incident of all time.To mark the 70th anniversary of the discovery of the “Flying Saucer,” Art Mint has produced a 3D, 40 mm, 40 g .925 fine silver, glow-in-the-dark, $2 proof struck for Niue. Mintage is 700. Naturally such a sensational headline was picked up by national media outlets and rapidly became widespread. The discovery had been made a month earlier by a local farmer but it was only on July 7 that the R.A.A.F. (Roswell Army Air Field) recovered the remains of the saucer.
Headline #9: First Annual Devil’s Tower UFO Rendezvous Kicks Off!
Synopsis: Hulett, Wyoming-KOTA TV-Believe it or not, something out of this world has come to the town of Hulett, Wyoming. UFO enthusiasts are in town for the first annual Devil’s Tower UFO Rendezvous, until the evening of Saturday September 16th. And some even have personal experience with the extraterrestrial–alien abductee ‘survivor’, Travis Walton, “I got out to take a closer look, I was struck by a blast of energy from this craft, and taken aboard.” They are in Hulett celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Steven Spielberg movie ” Close Encounters of the Third Kind” since much of that film was shot near Devil’s Tower.
