Here is the UFO Headline News for Monday August 21st, 2017
Headline #1: Stages of A Solar Eclipse
Synopsis: First Contact –The moon begins to cover the western limb of the Sun. Remember to use safe solar filters to watch the partial phases of the eclipse. Crescent Sun –Over a period of about an hour, the moon obscures more and more of the sun, as if eating away at a cookie. The Sun appears as a narrower and narrower crescent. Light and color changes happen about 15 minutes before totality, when 80% of the sun is covered, the light level begins to fall noticeably — and with increasing rapidity. The landscape takes on a metallic gray-blue hue. But wait–there’s more!
Headline #2: TRAPPIST-1 Planets May Be Twice As Old As Earth
Synopsis: Life has had a long time to potentially get a foothold on the rocky planets circling the tiny, dim star TRAPPIST-1, a new study suggests. TRAPPIST-1 and its seven roughly Earth-size planets are between 5.4 billion and 9.8 billion years old, according to the new study. For comparison, Earth’s solar system is a shade under 4.6 billion years old. “Our results really help constrain the evolution of the TRAPPIST-1 system, because the system has to have persisted for billions of years,” lead author Adam Burgasser, an astronomer at the University of California, San Diego, said in a statement. “This means the planets had to evolve together; otherwise, the system would have fallen apart long ago.”
Headline #3: UFO Sighting in Sevilla, Andalucia, Spain
Synopsis: This incident happened on the 8th day of our Spain trip; we stayed at the Q&Q Suite Cathedral duplex apartment; at around midnight we were having drinks on the rooftop facing the Cathedral de Seville, when at about 12:15 a.m. I saw a grey-silver object–it looked like a cloud changing shape and moving from the northwest direction–with a black, shadow object above a grey-silver cloud or beam – no sound; at first I though it was a silver balloon–I was focusing on the grey-silver cloud/beam…
Headline #4: UFO Sighting in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, Canada
Synopsis: We where having a neighborhood barbecue and sitting an the balcony socializing–there were seven of us–when someone noticed a strange looking light in the sky and we all were talking about it–because it never moved, it just hovered; we also noticed five very faint orb-type lights that moved around the larger object very rapidly, then in the blink of they eye they changed directions; we eventually got some binoculars and got a better view.
Headline #5: UFO Sighting in Pollock Pines, California
Synopsis: Pollock Pines–08/16/2017 at 9:30 pm my husband and I were looking at the stars–we have a very nice view from our back deck–I saw it first, it was a bright white flash the size of a bright star; the object got very bright and faded slowly, then in 30 seconds–maybe 60 seconds, it would flash again in a different location; this went on for about five minutes total; this object was not going in a straight line–and it was going in reverse, too!
Headline #6: UFO Sighting in Glendale, Arizona
Synopsis: At 9:04 pm, I was sitting on my front porch facing north when suddenly I saw what seemed to be a shooting star, slowly falling many miles to the northeast–but unlike a shooting star, it never faded or left a trail; it remained a solid, glowing, very bright object that stayed the same size and when it disappeared behind a house across the street, I wondered what it was, but settled on it being a shooting star and started thinking about a wish to make.
Headline #7: UFO Sighting in Cottontown, Tennessee
Synopsis: Approximately thirty miles north of Nashville; the sky was mostly clear with a few stray clouds and contrails, with no thunderstorm activity within a hundred miles of the area; at approximately 21:40 on 12 August 2017, I observed a bright white flash of light in the north-northeast portion of the sky at approximately 45 degrees–it appeared as if a star had flashed on and off and the size comparison of the light was the same if not marginally larger than a star; as I continued to look in the sky I observed a couple of more flashes over the course of a minute or so. and I walked back into the house and told my wife what I had seen–I asked her and my children to join me on the front porch, to see if it continued and if possible, to record and hypothesize what it could be.
