“Plant impossible gardens. Look forward to dreams. Cry during movies. Swing as high as you can on a swing set, by moonlight. Cultivate moods. Do it for love. Take lots of naps. Take moon baths. Giggle with children. Listen to old people. Entertain your inner child. Build a fort with blankets. Get wet. Hug trees. Write love letters.” ~ Sark

We find that people's beliefs about their efficacy affect the sorts of choices they make in very significant ways. In particular, it affects their levels of motivation and perseverance in the face of obstacles. Most success requires persistent effort, so low self-efficacy becomes a self-limiting process. In order to succeed, people need a sense of self-efficacy, strung together with resilience to meet the inevitable obstacles and inequities of life.” ~ Albert Bandura

“The experienced mountain climber is not intimidated by a mountain — he is inspired by it. The persistent winner is not discouraged by a problem — he is challenged by it. Mountains are created to be conquered; adversities are designed to be defeated; problems are sent to be solved. It is better to master one mountain than a thousand foothills.” ~ William Arthur Ward

“Earth, teach me to forget myself as melted snow forgets its life. Earth, teach me resignation as the leaves which die in the fall. Earth, teach me courage as the tree which stands all alone. Earth, teach me regeneration as the seed which rises in the spring”. ~ William Alexander

FULL MOON in TAURUS – Thursday 10th November @ 20.16 GMT
+ Ritual for TAURUS FULL MOON

TAURUS FULL MOON – Thursday 10th November 15.16 EST / 12.16 PST
We have almost reached the penultimate full Moon of 2011, Taurus Full Moon and the time seems to be flying. At times it has been challenging to keep our heads afloat this rapid flow, as change comes thick and fast.

For many the last two weeks have been an emotional roller coaster, as we faced some deep issues within ourselves, and faced some uncomfortable truths. Now the Taurus full Moon has come with its bullish energy to boot us out of any residue emotional lethargy.

Taurus Full Moon tells us: “This is a time for grounding yourself and accepting the reality of what is. Don’t fight the change that is happening in your life, but learn to go with the flow, surrendering to what is happening without judging. Accept that what is happening is for your greatest good and is giving you the opportunity to find inner resources you never knew you had, making you stronger, more courageous, forgiving and loving.”

After the very emotional and watery Scorpio new Moon, this Taurus Moon will help us to focus on what needs to get done. Taurus helps us to become more diligent, creative and persistent, so we can get our projects and creative endeavours really moving. If our hearts and minds are in full alignment, this Moon can bring a magical quality with it where we meet the right people at the right time to help and support us.

It has come at the perfect time as Mercury goes Retrograde on 23rd November for three weeks so this is the time to complete as much as the ground work as possible. Mercury rules communication so when it goes retrograde things can go a bit haywire. However, forewarned is forearmed so use these next two weeks to prepare yourself for the coming retrograde. Any mechanical equipment that you have been meaning to buy – do it now. Complete any paperwork or sign any documents now, while the clarity of Taurus is guiding us.

If you are just starting out on a project, Taurus brings the sacred into the mundane. It enables us to see the larger picture of where our projects can take us, while still keeping our feet on the ground and being practical about what needs to be done next, in order to realise the higher vision.

Taurus fertilises the seeds of our dream, helping us to see the possibilities of creating what we truly desire. It inspires us and feeds the creative spark to push us forward in a constructive, logical and practical fashion.

Under this Moon we also recognise the importance of stability in our material lives. We feel a deeper gratitude and appreciation for our lovers and partners and may see them in a more gracious, positive light. We may feel inspired to rearrange, feng shui or change a room around, shifting the energy so that it reflects our inner transformation.

However, be aware not to be a bull in a china shop. Taurus teaches us we cannot push the river, or make things happen any faster than they are going. Everything is in divine timing, and we cannot control the natural flow of life.

Taurus also has a propensity to be stubborn and unyielding to the situation. Don’t get too attached to how you want things to be if they are not going that way. When we work in a team we all have to be heard and listened too. If things are getting fractious, call a meeting so everyone gets to speak their truth and utilise Taurus’s ability to see the deeper spiritual desires and wants needing to be met.

Taurus nurtures our creative landscape, giving us enthusiasm as fertiliser for our dreams, and a fertile soil to dig deep, strong roots. It shifts us out of procrastination and into a more energetic ‘doing’ mode, working with the flow of life so we find ourselves effortlessly manifesting what we need in order to see our projects materialising in the world.

I will end this Lunascope with the wise words of Henry Ford:

“Enthusiasm is the yeast that makes your hopes shine to the stars. Enthusiasm is the sparkle in your eyes, the swing in your gait. The grip of your hand, the irresistible surge of will and energy to execute your ideas.”

Love and Blessings

PS I mentioned in my last Lunascope that I would write more about the Day of the Dead and 11/11/11. I found myself sitting in Vipassana Meditation over the new Moon, Samhain and Day of the Dead so was unable to write the blogs as promised. If you are still interested in knowing more about these dates or 11/11/11 please go to my blog www.rebekahshaman.com/blog in the next few days, to see the latest posts on my thoughts on these subjects.

TAURUS FULL MOON RITUAL
Get practical this Moon by sorting out what you need to do. Write a list, clear out clutter, and get clear on what tasks are important. Sometimes when things get too overwhelming it is good to spend some time getting clear what is serving you and what is not, what is sucking your energy dry and what is inspiring you.

To do this, check into your energetic flow. If a task feels good when you think about it– do it. If it is a bit overwhelming, take some time visualising yourself completing it in your head first. This creative visualisation is very helpful to getting motivated and Taurus is a great moon for creative visualisation.

You can also do this with people. If a person is sucking your energy, let them go out of your life for a while. It is good to recognise that when we are changing, some people we just need to leave behind in our past, so we can move forward more effortlessly and make room for new friends to come in.

If you are finding the flow is a struggle, leave the task for a while, maybe it is just not the right time to do it, even if you are feeling that you have to do it. When our egos control our actions, we can find ourselves struggling upstream, fighting the flow and everyone around us. Taurus stubbornness can expend vital energy without any positive outcomes.

Cook a delicious meal for your loved ones or good friends. Show them how much you love, respect and admire them. Nurture and pamper them for the night so they feel special and loved. Taurus Moon is sensual and passionate so enjoy each other’s company without pressure or needing anything. Enjoy the magic.

Some Info About Me….

This Lunascope is inspired to help us to become realigned with the Rhythm of the Planet,by flowing with the thirteen Moon cycles of the year and the eight Ancient Festivals of celebration that mark and define our annual cycle. The more we live within the natural flow, the more magic and harmony we will experience in our lives.

We have been bamboozled by a corrupt calendar and even more corrupt concept of time. Through concepts like ‘time is money,’ we have gradually forgotten our symbiotic relationship with the Earth and natural environments. Indigenous communities, since time began had a higher vision for humanity and the Earth.

In 1998, while working in Peru, I was called by a Shaman in a vision that he had the answers to some of the questions I had about my existence and reason for why I am on the planet. So I flew to the Amazon and found the Shaman nestled in a tiny village deep in the Amazon Jungle. While living with him and his family I experienced first-hand that we are a part of, not apart from, Mother Earth and all life forms and Nature is a symbiotic partner for our survival. By destroying our natural world, we are destroying ourselves, and quickly.

I have written a book called, ‘The Shaman’s Last Apprentice,’ about my experiences in Peru that contains messages from my Amazonian Shaman teacher. It’s available online at www.rebekahshaman.com
