The Power of Prayer

Have you ever asked anyone to pray for you? It is a remarkable act of vulnerability and faith. Last week I found myself surfing an uncomfortable situation. As a result, I was having difficulty accessing  a “better feeling thought” as Abraham calls it. My energy started to dwindle and I could not see my way out of the emotional turbulence I was feeling. The angels suggested that I reach out and ask people to pray for me. I started with an email to the Agape Prayer Ministry. Within a day I received confirmation that they will be praying for me for 30 days. I also reached out to a few friends and asked for their prayers and support.

There is something so powerful about prayer. Especially when we pray for each other. It’s a misconception that prayer is reserved for times when we really need Divine intervention. That’s like saying that we’ll only go out in the sun when we really need vitamin D. There is no need to wait until you are in a place of spiritual depletion before turning to prayer.

Prayer is available to us with every breath. Prayer creates an opening for the angels and God to stream love and light directly to where it is most needed.

Prayer on our own is powerful. But if you really want to amp up the Divine mojo, pray with other people. And I’m not talking about the thousand-years-old prayers that are part of religious doctrine. There is a time and place for that, too. Rather I’m talking about holding the vision and intention for another. Saying affirmative prayer creates a vortex of loving energy in service to another person’s well-being.

Here is a prayer that you can use in the mornings to start your day. We include the text and also an audio of the prayer.

Mother, Father, God. Just now I ask to be surrounded, uplifted and filled with the clear white light of the Holy Spirit.

Angels, Guides, Ascended Masters, Teachers of Light,  invite you to be with me today.

I ask that you walk by my side.

I ask that you assist me in remembering the truth of the beauty of my Spirit.

I ask for blessings of grace, of love, of light, of joy, of oneness with God.

I speak these words knowing God is my source & my supply.

I speak these words knowing  that with every breath I connect with God.

I speak these words knowing that I am a beautiful and wise being.

And as I quiet my mind and open my heart the wisdom of my Spirit is available to me.

I know that in this moment I am powerful, wise, kind and compassionate.

I send waves of love and light to every corner of my life.

I bring forward forgiveness and compassion for anything in my past that might have weighted me down.

In this moment I fully liberate myself into this present moment of power.

I declare all is well in my world. I am so grateful or the gift of my life.

I know miracles love, laughter, abundance, joy and inspiration are here for me and I now call it forward.

I now call forward All That I Am in service to the full beauty of my life. God, thank you for the gift of my life.

I know all is well.

I ask that only that which is for the highest best transpire today.

I join the angels in sending light and love all around the world and universe wherever it is needed.

I bless today as a beautiful day.

For this and so much more I am so grateful.

And so it is.
