Follow Your Heart, it is Smarter Than You Think

The heart is also the first organ that is being formed in the womb. The rest comes later.

Recently, Neurophysicists have been astonished to discover that the Heart is more an organ of intelligence, than (merely) the bodies’ main pumping station. More than half of the Heart is actually composed of neurons of the very same nature as those that make up the cerebral system. Joseph Chilton-Pearce, author of The Biology of Transcendence, calls it “the major biological apparatus within us and the seat of our greatest intelligence.”

The Heart is also the source of the body’s strongest electromagnetic field. Each heart cell is unique in that it not only pulsates in synchrony with all the other heart cells, but also produces an electromagnetic signal that radiates out beyond the cell. An EEG that measures brain waves shows that the electromagnetic signals from the heart are so much stronger than brain waves, that a reading of the heart’s frequency spectrum can be taken from three feet away from the body…without placing electrodes on it!

The Heart’s electromagnetic frequency arcs out from the Heart and back in the form of a torus field. The axis of this Heart torus extends from the pelvic floor to the top of the skull, and the whole field is holographic, meaning that information about it can be read from each and every point in the torus.

The Hearts’ torus electromagnetic field is not the only source that emits this type of electromagnetic field. Every atom emits the same torus field. The Earth is also at the center of a torus, so is the solar system and even our galaxy…and all are holographic. Scientists believe there is a good possibility that there is only one universal torus encompassing an infinite number of interacting, holographic tori within its spectrum. Because electromagnetic torus fields are holographic, it is more than likely that the sum total of our Universe is present within the frequency spectrum of a single torus.

This means that each one of us is connected to the entire Universe and as such, can access all the information within it at any given moment. When we get quiet and access what we hold in our Hearts, we are literally connecting to the limitless supply and Wisdom of the Universe, thereby enabling what we perceive as “miracles” to enter into our lives.

When we disconnect and shut down the Heart’s innate wisdom of Love-based thinking, the ego-based intellect takes over and operates independently of the Heart, and we revert to a survival mentality based on fear, greed, power, and control. In this way, we come to believe that we are separate, our perception of life shifts into one of limitation and scarcity, and one in which we must fight in order to survive. This amazing organ, that we often time ignore, neglect and build walls around, is where we can find our strength, our faith, our courage and our compassion, enabling our higher emotional intelligence that can, if we allow it, guide us through our lives.

We must now switch the gears out of the fear-based mental state that we have been taught to believe in, and move into Heart Centered living. For this transformation to take place, one must learn to meditate, “go into your Heart” and access the inner wisdom of the Universe. It is the only way, it is THE WAY. As each one of us begins this quiet revolution of living from the Heart, we will begin to see it reflected in our lives and in our World. This is how each one of us will create change in the world, create Peace, create Harmony and Balance, and in this way, will we all create the New World Paradigm of Heaven on Earth.

  1. I love you. I recently watched “Dan Winter on The Purpose of DNA” where he shows that the 7 layers of muscle which pump the heart are creating a vortex in each bit of DNA every moment. He proposed that in a state of bliss (which he also claims is the function of life and is achieved through universal compassion) the heart muscles align in such a way that the vortex it creates makes our genetic material transcend space-time via light at the point where the inside of the vortex becomes the outside (and vice versa). Quite a state of being, that is! Anyway… watching that tied a lot of things together I’ve already come to know well through scientific and mystical studies, as well as spiritual practices. I had a feeling today while driving home from university that I should write a blog post about the heart and its relation to vortex math (work done by Marko Rodin and Randy Powell). I get home, check facebook before going to bed, and find this. I’ve been waiting since (at least) age 11 to observe what you just expressed be expressed. On behalf of (the/this/that/ONE) human being: thank you. I love you.

    Peace, Peace, Peace, One Love

    • For those cemented in man made religious beliefs I kindly request that you just say a simple Hi!, to the eternal spirit of the universe within you and if you feel a tingle of appreciation , kind of like a pleasant shiver, well, I think you have made a connection !.

Aloha – Great info – Mahalo – for science, google Lee Lipensthal MD – He’s taught this material for years, for evidence based CME medical conferences

  7. yes, please provide the references inplied to exist. =)

    • for science, google Lee Lipensthal MD – He’s taught this material for years, for evidence based CME medical conferences, via NadiaLindaHoleMD

      • OK, I googled Lee Lipensthal. I don’t see any research in medical journals. How does Lee Lipensthal pertain to the article? We’re looking for published science experiments which support the assertions in the article. Not videos. Not lectures. Science. I don’t see any at all. Please furnish citations (medical journal accounts of experimental results) that support the article’s assertions. That’s standard procedure in any science article. If no citations, it’s uninformed speculation. Sorry, that’s science, for you.

  8. Old and wise cultures have known this information for a long long time, it is great that neuroscientists are now ‘proving it’. Our world can always use more people listening to and following their hearts. THKS

  11.  Cool: here’s an excerpt from ‘White Rabbit’, a novel I’m writing:
Can the heart brain be known by the other familiar brain, the rational thinking highways and byways of neurons in your head? The answer is no. At this point, you may lose interest in the conversation and close the book on your heart’s brain. But for those who read on, the secrets of human perception are revealed.

  14. Me loves articles like this with lots of non-science or evidence-base assertions… come on, if you’re going to write something like “The Heart is also the source of the body’s strongest electromagnetic field” provide a citation or two… actually, provide citations to primary sources period.  Nice and new-Agey this is, but this is mixing a metaphor with biology.  The heart isn’t literally all this, just figuratively.  And, you know, you don’t need to try to make your point by referencing biology or other external evidence, really.  It’s enough to argue that we need more love-based thinking in the world.

  15. This explains why, when I was grieving over the loss of love in my life, my heart literally broke, and I ended up in congestive heart failure at age 38. No wonder the doctors couldn’t explain it.

  23. I  am Sandra from Argentina, follow in Love with Emad born in Kuwait almost 26 years ago, left him after we lived together for more than 2 years, we fought and fought, he because his uncontrollably  jealousy he felt for me, I run and I abandon him, I run from the Love of my life because I did not wanted to see him in Yield, I did not wanted him to get hurt, I couldn’t dear to see him suffering this way, I was so young 21 when I meet him, I didn’t spoke a word of English back them, non, and he did not spoke Spanish either, nerveless we moved together, even we fought like cats and dogs from day on, and I almost kill him and I because he broke my cigarillos twice while he was driving back to my place, he also trows my carton in the back seat, I asked for his wallet, I also trow his wallet and flashed up the window in the high way, when he tried to come back for it, that is what I though he was doing, I took control of his steering wheel and almost make him crash the car with him and I on it, never less we never separated that night, he took me to his place for coffee, I hate coffee even this was french coffee  a capuchino french Vanilla coffee  in small can, metal can to mix with water and very good may I add.
A lot of water under the bridge, 23 years later, I disappeared from him never to be seen again, we haven’t see each other again, NEVER, NEVER, I marry his best friend for 23 years and I am still legally marry to him, and I love him Dearly, I will give my heart for him, along with his family, they are my family also, a men with A GOLDEN HEARTH, a men so many will love to have and marry, a men that so proud is my loving husband a men that I will wish to keep for me and never let him go, a men I trust and I call his name when I am sick, a men that also have my heart and my LOVE, and if Emad wouldn’t have existed in this world most like I would have die in his arms.

And he sow me in Face Book and he wanted to see me, and I wanted to see him, to run to him, and he wanted to run to me also.
And we fought again like the first day, ans worsen. And we got so scare of each other, so scare because now our world as we knew it become up side down, he is 50 and I am  47, not kids any more, not reason why to feel this way with each other NONE, it was absurd, it did not fit with our logic mind……

  25. any real scientific paper reference to the information you are addressing, please?
it all sounds very beautiful, but I haven’t seen any paper addressing these issues, thanks

  26. HILARIOUS!!!
Truly the latest in Medieval medicine! Superstition mixed with scientific-sounding words!
“Neurophysicists have been astonished to discover that the Heart is more an organ of intelligence, than (merely) the bodies’ main pumping station.”
True dat! Everyone should be astonished at that assertion. I certainly am! None of these astonished neurophysicists are named, unfortunately.

Yes, folks, the neurons contained in your heart comprise a brain…in exactly the same way that your flashlight is a computer! I mean, they both function by electron flow, right? The flashlight, therefore, must be able to do simple algebra, at least.

“More than half of the Heart is actually composed of neurons of the very same nature as those that make up the cerebral system.”
Really? So with all the purkinje fibers, connective tissue, adipose tissue, arteries, and veins, plus more than 50% neurons, is there any room left for cardiac muscle?

I’m not intelligent enough to follow the assertions about holographic toroidal electromagnetic fields, though. That’s way too advanced for a simple guy like me.

    • It dosn’t really matter.Recently is relative anyway.
Its(the article) a beautiful reminder as to a deeply important aspect of our living selves, a sense location of intuitive capability to magnify our love.

      • What you say is just fine. I’m glad that you feel that way!

I’m only objecting to the false use of ‘science’ to justify mystical experience. The ‘science’ is incorrect, and science and mysticism do not mix. Simply leave ‘science’ out of it.

    • remember pigeons can count.

  27. good stuff.
for those of you wondering, check out Rollin McCraty’s research with the HeartMath Institute and the PEAR project at Princeton, among many others.

  28. It is nice to know that although some close their minds, most have open minds all ready. Scientific data sure would be nice, and substantial scientific basis for this concept is presented in Dan Winter’s “The Purpose of DNA” available on Google Video (with a little research you’ll notice his tarnished reputation, but “do not judge your teacher’s personality, judge your teacher’s teachings”…), but with something like this can you really expect good “qualified” coverage?
We can hardly get scientists working on serious prospects of perpetual energy (solar; wind; wave; tidal; geothermal) and environmental preservation…What makes you think any profit-motivated scientific institution would be (or could get away with) studying and publishing about this?

I don’t know, and I’m not “qualified” or saying that I am in any way… I’m just making some honest observations. For those of you who do wish to investigate further but are not sure
where to begin (Google and the internet will take you merely so far –
not very far from your glowing computer screen, at that), I personally
find the following suggestions useful: practice meditation on a regular
    basis, and practice mindful breathing/Pranayama
techniques as frequently as possible (I constantly remind my self to
breathe properly and focus on it, and nowadays mindful breathing is
second nature to me). These practices will bring you increased health, peace, and
clarity at the least. At the most, such practices are capable of doing much, much
more extraordinary things for your awareness. Every body is different, so to each One’s own –
    follow your heart.

    Peace, Peace, Peace, One Love

  29. So sceptics, debunking a little love story is right up your alley, or down your aorta!
If you wish to question the origin of yourself emenating from the mothercell, which in turn became the heart, and so on and so on, then why shoot a messenger who bears the truth. Seek your own answers to this truth with love in your hearts and not the negative cynicism of a sceptic.
    Robert

    • I don’t mind a love story. I don’t mind mysticism. Just don’t misrepresent science to justify mysticism. They are not compatible. Show me some truth, I’ll propagate it. I don’t see any, here.

      I prefer: RFC 2324
(as it makes more sense to me)

  31. Those who attempt to use science to justify mysticism (or religion), ruin both.

    • You r right bro,  Scientists may or may not be mystics, but mystics are scientists as well and there is logic in mysticism also though we are unable to cognise that,,,

      • I’m saying one is factual knowledge, the other is faith. Don’t mix them. Each is just fine by itself. They detract from each other when they’re mixed.

        • Surely everything is a matter of faith until we mix science into it.  If we hadn’t tried to understand the spears of light that the thunder gods hurled across the sky in anger by mixing them with science then we wouldn’t have learnt that we can harness electricity to light bulbs or power televisions and computers.  I don’t think we suffered a detraction when we learnt how to propel our technology into the 21st century.  I suppose if you are Amish then you might disagree with me but in that case I am not sure why you are leaving messages on an internet page.

          • A message on an internet page is like a message in a bottle… it’ll bob around out there for a while, until some fool picks it up and tries to make a big deal of it.

        • Faith and knowledge ???  Reminds me of a story about a minister who was asked to define the difference between faith and knowledge.  After pondering for a moment, he said,” There in the front pew sits Brother Brown and Sister Brown and the eight little Browns.  When BrotherBrown says, ‘ Those are my children.’ that’s faith. But when Sister Brown says,’Those are MY children!’, THAT’S knowledge…”

Um, actually a lot of science especially in physics deals with a large amount of faith in a theory or idea, so it’s almost the same as mysticism, and just because you can “test” something and you get results doesn’t mean anything because you could be searching for a “solution” to a certain “problem” and depending on the variables and control methods you can actually yield the results YOU want not the real results, and those true results might not even be factual all the time just because a machine says so or because you have some knowledge that doesn’t even surpass THE knowledge of our true existence.

  32. The beatles said it with their song…… ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE……..LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED……

  33. Actually, the primordial streak forms first – the root. This is the central nervous system progenitor.

  34. Fine wrote a good idea, I have the same issues, I agree with. They are also positive science.

  35. what does this mean for people who have heart transplants? getting someone else’s greatest intelligence installed must be a profound experience, but you don’t hear about patients commenting as such.

    • A Heart transplant should have little affect. On the other hand a brain transplant takes one down the road to a completely different place!

    • interesting question…

    • an organ is a organ. This article is describing it as just such, “neurons”, “electo-fields” “pumping station” ect. What it is further suggesting is that it creates balance and a system to reach a point of deeper intellect and connection.  No matter who’s heart you use, the passage to gaining this intellect would be the same.  however that being said, this question remains; does the more diseased the heart endures effect the torus connection you will have?

    • I just wanted to mention that it is very well documented that people having heart transplants do experience memories and sometimes take on habits and mannerisms of the person they have received a heart transplant from.

    • Great book on this exact topic by Paul Pearsal

  36. I want to thank you for articulating this article…last spring, just days after the nuclear horror in Japan…I went into a state of prayer for the Earth and all things on it…during that time…a friend of mine and I channeled this information while at the beach writing individual entries into our journals while on the California coatline, exactly and to the “T”…both of us had an instant change within our hearts in that instant…and as a result I have been writing about it myself and spreading this information to all that I can communicate it to…Thank you again…I am glad our community is broadening.

  37. There are many things about human anatomy and physiology that we don’t fully understand, for instance, the generally accepted idea that we think with our brains, when almost everyone know that most men think with their reproductive organs.  Did you know that ALL baby boys are born with an erection ?

    • Very good! Although I haven’t actually seen ALL baby boys born, so I can’t speak to that.

      • LOL !  Well, Bob, that’s what they told me in Nursing School, and so far, every baby boy birth I’ve witnessed (and there have been a few) seem to bear this out. As for the circumcision question; I’m fundamentally opposed to all forms of infant mutilation, and a new-born baby has plenty to cry about without inflicting additional (and un-necessary) pain !

    • Not sure they are all born with erections, but I do know that most in this country will scream, tremble, defecate, and go into shock, shortly after birth, when, without any anesthesia, they are circumcised.

      • Yes, circumcision is traumatic for baby boys. The awful scream… I imagine a shot of novocaine in the region is extremely painful as well. I would think such pain could cause PTSD in sensitive boys.

  38. THANK YOU FOR THIS ARTICLE, IT REMINDS ME OF WHAT GREGG BRADEN SAID ABOUT THE PEAK THAT OCCURED IN THE EARTH’S ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD JUST A QUARTER OF AN HOUR AFTER THE SEPTEMBER ELEVENTH TRAGEDY IN NEW YORK 1991 ….THE EMOTIONS OF SYMPATHY AND SHOCK THAT RADIATED FROM PEOPLES HEARTS CAUSED A RISE IN THE EARTH’S ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD. THIS FACT WAS DOCUMENTED BY NASSA WHO MONITORS THIS FIELD. I HAVEJUST READ ALL OF THE COMMENTS ON THIS ARTICLE AND I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SEND GOOD VIBRATIONS TO ALL SCEPTICS. SOMEONE ONCE SAID ” BE WITH AN OPEN HEART FOR AN OPEN HEART GIVES AND RECEIVES LOVE MORE EASILY” I WOULD LIKE TO ADD TO THIS “BE ALSO WITH AN OPEN MIND, FOR AN OPEN MIND LEAVES ROOM FOR ALL POSSIBLE OUTCOMES JUST LIKE QUANTUM PHYSICS SHOWS US TODAY. MODERN SCIENCE IS FINALLY SHOWING US WHAT THE MYSTICS HAVE ALWAYS SAID TO BE TRUE.SO HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL WHO CELEBRATE CHANUKA AND CHRISTMAS AND THE NEW YEAR. I love this article.  At times, it can be really hard to follow your heart, despite that it holds the truth.

  41. As much as I like this I’d like it a lot more if it referenced the scientific experiments/studies regarding the fields & neurons, that’d be real journalism.

  42. We must make our decisions with our heart (chakra). When we use our brains we manifest a duality, whereas using our hearts manifests truth, purity, singularity, 5D… One love!

  43. as with everything of anthropoligical nature: our hearts and minds and minds are one; and each
cannot exsist without the fuctioning of the other. So, the fundamental truth we learn from our
exsistentce, stems from both the heart and mind, with the ability to transcend the corporeal
form and function via faculities. Trinty of states: heart, mind, (love knowledge,) and the magnetic forces
that both repell and attracth the aforementioned sates… ergo the in between state, or connector.

    • not to mention that we are connected to the atmosphere because we breath it continuously. that’s connected to the earth where we get water, food that turns into us etc.

    Das ist Wahr!

  45. The unsubstantiated pseudo-science in this article exemplifies intellectual laziness. The laws and theories explained in biology, chemistry, physics, and other science textbooks were established by some very hard work.

Theories of how things work were devised from observation. Experiments were designed, the results of which would either prove or disprove some part of the theory. The theory was either modified or discarded, depending on experimental result.
If an experimental result seems to verify some part of a theory, detailed instructions for reproducing the experiment are circulated. Only if the experiment is widely reproduced, will that part of the theory be accepted. Takes many years to verify, in some cases.
Some folks have spent years of their lives in pursuit of a theory that bore no fruit. Cold Fusion comes to mind. Now that’s hard, unrewarding work, just to further science by eliminating a possibility.
This article propagates unsubstantiated, untested fantasies as fact, as science. Total intellectual laziness. “Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that ‘my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’” ― Isaac Asimov

    • alot of mainstream text books, laws, and THEORIES are for people who have not taken the time to be able to think for themselves….the info is out there really

      • Yep, them there old ‘Lamestream textbooks.’

Well, at least those ‘people’ are taking the time to read something about laws and THEORIES. Using their brains.

        The atomic THEORY.
        The THEORY of Gravity.
        The THEORY of Evolution.

Don’t believe in THEORIES? Contest the THEORY of Gravity by jumping off the roof. When you’re done, come back and tell us it’s only a THEORY.Where’s the info, Ezmelta? Out there really? Don’t be lazy, tell us where it is. On youtube? Yes, WAY out there.

        • Bob, I don’t believe Ezzy got your message. I’m afraid you’ll have to demonstrate ! Oh! And gravity works better at higher altitudes…. A one-story building doesn’t allow enough time to reach terminal velocity !   I’d suggest a minimum of  250 feet.

          • Once upon a time, all of the body parts became involved in a great altercation about which should be Boss.  The brain, of course, said, “I have to do all the thinking for you all, so I should be Boss !”  he eyes said,”Without me, you wouldn’t be able to read so you couldn’t learn very much, you couldn’t appreciate all the beauty in the world. Pardon the pun, but Eye should be Boss.” The ears said, “I’m just as important as the eyes, but I’ll settle for  sharing the title.”  The mouth said, “…and just how would you communicate without me ?  I should be Boss.”  The argument went on for days, every body part claiming the position of “Boss”.  finally, the rectum spoke up and said,” I’m tired of all the crap, so I’m shutting down until you decide to make ME the Boss.”  And so, the rectum stopped functioning…… after a few days the brain grew sluggish and feverish, the eyes crossed and became bloodshot, the ears couldn’t hear anything but their own roaring sound, muscles ached, heart pounded….. and finally, almost at the point of death, all of the body parts relented and said,” Okay, all right, enough already !  You’re the BOSS!” The rectum relaxed it’s anal sphincter and with a great gush, emptied the bowels.  And that, My Dear Friends, is how it came to pass that a bunch of ass-holes have been running things right up to this day…..  Let’s send a strong Laxative to Washington, DC, all State Capitols, county offices and City Hall.  A lot of businesses would also benefit immensely…..

    • Well I feel this reply is entierly subjective and sort of attacking. Why do “scientific” thinking bring this qualities along with it??  First of all before you attack the ideas you should bother too read her book and look into the referances. It is true that the magnetic force is much stronger from the hearth and that the hearth have simmular cells too brain cells. I think it is a scientific fact.  So why does science have a subjective attitude and a tendency too jump too conclusions? Maybe it does not actually know about what generates all our science namely counciousness. If you think about what thinks in you for a while and studies the thinkings activity you actually get outside the ego and realice how you are connected to everything else. It is a fact, all science is based in thinking and mainstream science does not now what thinking is that generates the same sciece. Therefore it ends up being subjective.   I recomend the readers too read Freedom philosofy by Rudolf Steiner. Anthroposofy has some answears in this area.  Too get into the essens of things like Gøethe did you have too be in the hearth and to know yourself enought too wiew both subject and object in a meditative state that.  There through the intuition subject and object merges given enough heart and time.   In antroposofy the finding is that all twelve senses come together in the hearth in a wholisitc way and I firmly beleeive that the future science is the science of the hearth

  46. I’m gonna have to go and disagree with this article. Primarily that listening to your heart does not mean you are listening to the wisdom of the universe. You are listening to your emotions, and it has been substantiated throughout all of history that letting your emotions run the show is the stupidest thing you can do. So yeah. Follow your heart. Forget logic and reasoning. Brilliant.

    • Your emotions are not dictated by your heart Daniel. They are dictated by your experience and, more crucially, your relationship with that experience. They are dictated by your beliefs, fears, doubts, memories, pain, disappointment – and all that comes from your experience. Your heart is as pure as it was when you were born. And if we are all prepared to conduct a sincere and honest enquiry into the nature of everything, we discover (every single one of us, whether we admit it or not, or like it or not) that we are all ONE and that our hearts are our receptors of universal intelligence or, if you prefer, a divine consciousness that operates, always and only, from LOVE. If we are cynical about love, that too is due to our experience. A few years ago I would have agreed entirely with and probably applauded your post. But I have found, to my cost, that I was firmly ensconced in my ego (which operates from fear) and I resisted all that I was being shown because it didn’t suit the image of who I wanted to be, and how I wanted to be perceived. Thankfully, that ego has now all but dissolved, and I am immeasurably happier and every aspect of my life has improved. And I send this in the hope that you may receive it, not with your experience and all that comes from it, but rather with your heart, because it absolutely will lead you to everything YOU (not your ego) wishes for. With love, Will.

    • Nice, Mr. Douche.

    • not sure if your translator is giving you the correct info mr. douche

    • I agree with you. Emotions and not intellect are responsible for wars. Whoever believes that intellect makes us selfish and is “bad” is spreading a dangerous idea.

  47. The heart is wiser than the mind.  The Heartmath Institute’s studies have revealed so much more than we have ever imagined.  My life’s work is to teach how to create healing and love.  I know that love is always the answer, even in the most difficult of circumstances.  Thanks for this wonderful post.

    Warmly,

    Dr. Eruca

  48. Once we are able to completely analyze the frequency response of the human heartbeat, we will be able to break down the signal into its respective parts. I’m confident we will find ‘carrier signals’ that are used to work like clock pulses to control all kinds of body functions.  These signals also include frequency components that are influence by our moods and physiological states (being tired, feeling love, depression, etc.) and that these mood changes play a vital role in the ongoing health of all of our biological systems and processes.   Much is to be discovered and theorized.

In referring to the heart being wiser than the mind, ask yourself the following question:  Does a plant, growing from a seed into a vine, appear at all wise to you because it knows innately in which direction to grow towards water?  (even if the water is yards or more away)  Does it know it needs the water to survive? How can it even detect which direction it needs to go from the very moment the seed begins to grow?  This is how a heart can be considered ‘wise.’

Again, the more we discover, the more we realize how little we truly know.

  50. There is no research article link to this post – where are we able to get that?

  51. The mind contains knowledge, the heart contains your wisdom.  The mind likes to chatter, and focus on the past and the future. Through meditation we can quiet the mind, and experience the wisdom, and love found in the heart.. We can enjoy the bliss of staying in the moment.  The mind is essential to our survival, but the heart should be the master of the mind.

One can have a wealth of knowledge. and be respected as a scholar, and authority.  Such a person can be miserable, despite his success.  One who has a heart full of love, will be joyful, regardless the conditions in which he lives.  He has a joy that no one can take away

    • all sounds great…alot of info says the brain is a processor it does not store info, the info is kept in space or the ether or in the vacuum or in the cloud as mac comp. says….do follow the heart…

  52. In July 1994 during a deep meditation I saw and felt the torus as described and got the message that there is only one and that our awareness is “inside the torus”.  It’s nice to see scientists finding a way to measure what I felt energetically.

  53. Hmm…As I do believe that we have a Universal Intelligence (God) for me; I also believe as Daniel does here.  Much of our heart is emotion and as someone else put forth here, that emotion is based on life exeriences which are stored in the brain.   So..I remain open but suspicious of this conclusion.

This is all such a new scientific journey that I believe it wise to perhaps “prove” it experentially while also looking at the science as it is evolving.

Currently I am using Holosync and find it to be quite useful in perhaps “recording” over negative messages or the “map” I am most comfortable using as the “grooves” have been made deep with exercise over the years as the same methods were used in “solving” upheavals or indeed, everyday survival.

Am very excited about any new science of the brain/heart.  Both are essential to life therefore, I am not surprised if they share SOME of the same attributes.

Merry Christmas or Happy Hannakuh to you all.

  54. I have read how through out history, many people arriving at the same or similar higher or spiritual experience when letting go of fear and allowing love to rule your heart instead.

  55. I am on a journey to let go of the fear (ego) and to
listen my heart – I have a long way to travel, but already now, I have
experienced and felt huge changes. I have moved from the group of people who
hopes that this is the truth to the group that knows. It makes me glad every
time I see articles like this. It gives me so much hope for the world and the
    future.

Love this article! thank you for confirming what I realize already 🙂
    lots of love to you~

  60. Really awesome thank you!

  61. Lovely Intelligent Heart….:))))!!

  62. this is what indian yogis say chitta in the heart is the reservoir of impressions of all past lives of an individual soul

  63. Is any of the hard scientific data from these neurophysicists” available on line? Writing something is one thing, backing it up with notations of where you got this info is another…I would love to read more in depth about the actual studies….

  64. Actually, it’s the brain that develops first, Eagle Eyes.  That should be noted – a heart without discernment is an illusion of love, not the real thing, and very destructive indeed.
The rest of it is entirely plausible and correlated with everything that’s been know about the body by Ayurveda and Yoga for more than 7000 years.

    namaste

    • One is dependant on the other, the brain can not exist with out the heart and the heart cannot exist with out the brain, does it really matter which develops first. I think not! (Eagle Brain:)

    • Actually the heart starts to develop  before the brain  at about 20 days into the first trimester, and studies continue to show that the “illlusion” of  love is actually far from an illusion if its true.

  65. My goodness, what a load of New-Age dinosaur droppings this is! Resist, people, falling for feel-good fantasies like this. Science shows you how to sort out the truth from such speculative rubbish.

    • If your going to make remarks disparaging the article, (?) Can we at least have some sort of evidence based rebuttal.

      • Evidence equal to that provided in the article? Sure: Scientists have found that all of this is untrue. I believe in God, the holographic universe, the unity of all, etc, but something like this really needs to note source data or you are just asking for ridicule.

        • She gives the title of the book where all the information can be found (“notes source data”) in the first paragraph…the book is pretty complex and scientific (lots of examples and studies) and contains too much to go into detail about it in an article. I guess she is assuming you might actually take a peek at the book…you know, not be lazy. Or, if you’re too lazy to pick the book up and read it, then she probably hopes you’re too lazy to make an ill-informed comment too Guess that is not the case. Insults aside, try reading the book she clearly cites in paragraph one.

Understanding those references would be very tough for any person without serious training (far beyond just getting the doctorate followed by selling your soul to industry or academia) in both developmental biology and advanced mathematical approaches to physics.  Few people have the courage to live the extremely austere, and brutal, path needed to understand this.  Try reading Koestler’s “The Case of the Midwife Toad” about the absurdity of the academic elite, that I believe still exists in large part today.  If you just want easy answers handed to you, there aren’t any.

  66. Great article.  Thank you.  It is also worthy to note here that the brain is in duality.  So when we create and live from the brain, we create the positive and also experience the negative of whatever it is we are creating.  The heart and therefore the heart’s brain is in unity producing only unified results.  I for one have experienced both and can say it’s a no-brainer (pardon the pun) which is better.  Give it a try.  Live from you heart.  The wisdom is amazing.

  67. This article validates what Chinese Qi-Gong practioners have known for hundreds of years. Qi-gong is a ancient chinese method of self health care. Qi means life force and Gong means the  the study of. Qi-Gong utilizes the body’s own healing abilities such as; posture, deepbreathing, visualization, intention, meditation and slow rhythmic movements. Qi- gong consists of Za-Zen which is still meditation, Energy work which consists of slow rhythmic movements, and Kung Fu which translates to hard work or martial arts movements.

  68. As I was driving down the freeway last week, a car shot in front of me – for no apparent reason, traffic was light and fast – the license plate read YR♥MTRS. I have to believe someone out there wanted me to get that message at this time. I’m trusting my life with that.

  69. Where are the links to these finding Rebecca Cherry?

  70. I love the toral pattern and picture it with my breathing exercises as being the center of the torus where I can draw the toral energy up or down with my breath!

I truly feel that a decision made from the heart is unified as Dr Judith mentioned.  A decision made in the mind can bring confusion.  Once brought into the heart you experience what ‘feels’ best.  When I can’t make my mind up, I always use this method and it’s never let me down.  Note that you may sometimes experience something somewhat different from that which you imagined but rest assured it’s for your highest good and that there is deep learning there for you!  I too practice Qigong and agree with George.  Ancient wisdom is being recognized!

    • Roedersheimer Mark

      January 7, 2012 at 12:44 AM

The true “heart” has to be seen as the unification of the physical heart (pump) the brain, and all the other centers of consciousness distributed in separate systems of the body (liver, kidney, stomach, skin, bone, etc) which have their unique forms of consciousness that are apart of the whole.  Then we must look for the heart of consciousness of all life, into which our “heart” is still but a part.  There may be other forms of interaction physics hasn’t “discovered” yet that can underlie these connections.

  73. I have to believe that the brain and heart work in concert to create what we think of as our ‘being’ or for those of a religious bent, our souls.  I wonder if that being can be divided so neatly into what comes from the heart (good and loving according to this article) and what comes from the brain (as ego driven and fear based according, again to the article).  Not sure it’s all quite that simple.  I refer to the eastern teachings of Buddhism and Hinduism that all of life and experience are part of a oneness that is greater than the sum of its parts.

It would take a panel of physicists and biologists a while to compile a list that would be understandable at the non-specialist level.  Most M.D.s don’t have the exposure to this level of thinking and simply follow algorithms of service established by the interests of money that they were taught in their training.

  75. Imagine for one moment how wonderful this world could be, if all people acted with   their heart intelligence instead of their cerebral mind — we would see love and harmony –  heaven on earth instead of selfishness and cruelty.

  76. so about 3 months i quit my job and stopped living in fear. OUTCOME: It’s amazing! I realized something today. that the true fulfillment of an individual is the realization that we, (humanity) don’t own anything (physical), yet we can have it all if you really want to. However it is by following your heart and you choose a bigger purpose, sometimes higher than life itself.

  77. where are the references?

  78. Jordan Reynolds

    January 2, 2012 at 3:41 AM

Heart Math is the institute that did these studies

  79. For the people that ask for references, they do exist, but you have to search, ask and it will be delivered, That kind of information exist and is used by governments, corporations, hollywood etc, why do you think they do their best to keep you scared, “natural disaster” terrorism, staged wars…. because they know that if humanity pulls up their true potential there is no more… slavery, pain, hate, anger etc. because everyone would have the basic right to do whatever he or she desires without the fears that control the world today. Why are there only a few…..to enjoy riches and success? giving you debt, with no assets, having you pay with labor….to control you to keep you warm at night programming your mind on the tv, telling you negative content, injecting their ideas, intentions and pulling energy from you all together, when you know you are responsible for your actions and know that if you really want it you can change your reality, by following your heart and knowing that we are more as a whole…

    • Thanks Ivan, but I searched on the internet for sudies and I can only find things linking back to this article.  If you have some references please share.  There area a lot of people asking for references, probably because they find the idea so insirational that if they could just make sure it was real, they wouldn’t hesitate to spread the word.  I would like to do so, but don’t want this info to be labeled as spiritual ‘fluff’ which is why I want to check sources before I send it to all my sceptical friends.  🙂

  80. In Islam we know this as what was narrated by Wabesa Ebn Maabed on Prophet Muhammed (PBUH)    ” You came to me asking about righteousness and sin, He Said Yes, So Prophet (PBUH) gathered his fingers and gently kept tapping on my chest and Said “Wabesa” consult your heart and ask yourself three times, righteousness is what reassures yourself and Sin is which wavers in the soul and cause hesitation in your chest – ( where the heart is ) – even if the people kept telling you otherwise ” ..
Also another one prophet Muhammed (PBUH) Said ” Allah ( GOD ) doesn’t look to you bodies or your images, But God Looks into your hearts and your deeds ”
    >>> So to connect to your heart wisdom you have to purify you heart from all the sins, hate, absolute materialize .. and start knowing this wisdom which direct you directly to Allah ( GOD )
” The Hearts’ torus electromagnetic field is not the only source that emits this type of electromagnetic field. Every atom emits the same torus field. The Earth is also at the center of a torus, so is the solar system and even our galaxy…and all are holographic. Scientists believe there is a good possibility that there is only one universal torus encompassing an infinite number of interacting, holographic tori within its spectrum ”
after the one universe being talked about here, you will reach the truth of their is only one God who is center of everything .. theirs more points in Islam to research in this point .. that’s just a brief .. Thank You 🙂

  81. I would like to know who Rebecca Cherry is and of her credentials (I sincerely hope that this paper wasn’t written by the violinist) any links would be appreciated. Furthermore, I am amongst those that would like to see references which back up the claims. I am a philosopher, and have had some professional training in neuroscience – I would love this to be true but at the moment it has all the credibility of a Wikipedia article…
Can anyone confirm anything written here as true – I love it, but, neurotransmitters in the heart? I cannot just trust this to be true.

Hi Milky,  You need to think beyond divisions in the body.  Everything is actually connected.  The evolution of all the organs and tissues of the human body happened simultaneously, and similar types of signaling occur in many different types of tissues.  Neurotransmitters are one type of signaling molecule, but they are not isolated to nerve cells. All kinds of signals are sent out from, and into, nerve cells all over the body, especially the heart.  Depends on what neurotransmitter you are talking about. There are many.  We started as a single celled organism that eventually learned to live as a collective.  Communication between cells was how this happened. Blood vessel formation is a precondition for the development of each organ.  The heart is the unifying site from which they all emerge and converge. It is essentially a big, muscular blood vessel.  There are not different rules for how the brain works and how the heart works.  This is an illusion from an older era of medical “science” (and I use the term science in the loosest and most generous sense possible for M.D. training.  They learn “standard of care”, and hierarchical thinking.  I graduated from medical school.  Memorization is not real learning, in the way an engineer is trained.  I know aerospace engineers (myself included) with a deeper understanding of neuroscience than many neurologists, because neural systems are a critical field of study in space flight. This is not to say I know more about the huge variety of diseases a neurologist deals with and how to treat them most effectively.  But I think I am more curious.   It amounts to different perspectives on problem solving, and devotion of time. )  To expect the practice of medicine to equate to science is to make yourself a fool.   It is art and craft, with a bit or science, with the science maybe ten years out of date, at least, for most docs who see patients.  You are not likely to get better simplifications than this article without serious devotion to study at the graduate level.

  82. The Quiet Revolution………

  83. “My skin is by far the
largest organ in the body, with lot’s nerve endings…maybe there’s
something there…maybe I should listen to my skin and the wisdom that
it holds from beyond the universe! I said it so it’s true, without any
proof or research references. Now I’m going to go wear my aluminum hat to keep out the voices from my feet.”
I’m all for strong positive thinking(it’s more productive than negative
thinking) but this a “fluff” piece.(3. Something of little substance or
consequence) There’s no references, credentials of any kind(doesn’t
have to be academic based, though that helps). This is what I would
describe as less than psuedo-science, making claims of cause and effect
where they arn’t proven to have support for.

As both a physician and an engineer with considerable training in physics, I am in awe of this piece.  I study and work to control the formation of blood vessels for wound healing purposes.  Blood vessel formation is foundation to all tissue development and healing.  The heart is essentially, the first blood vessel structure to form.  It makes clear sense if you understand the foundations of physics and those of biology.

Granted, developmental biology and physics don’t have all the answers yet, but this article points out some amazing symmetries that exist at different scales, that have to be taken into consideration and into awareness.

  86. True, the heart is the emperor.  However, it seems that the heart can get out of sync with one’s soul path and lead one astray into confusion.  It is indeed the emporer, but even the emporer has a God.

  87. Simple truth of the Devine!
Native American teaching…get outta your head and get into your heart. Your head will get you in trouble. Your heart will always tell you the right path to take.

  88. This is potentially amazing….but I’d like to see some references.  Could you direct me to your sources?  Thanks xx

    • i agree entirely with Clarabelle.. amazing info, but references are more convincing. thanks for the article!

  89. I remember the comment my A&P rmade when we were studying the heart. An ECG monitor can pick up the heart signals from a patient who is not connected and ten feet away. She was trying to fool us in a quiz that suggested the brain was the most powerful emitter.

I took a therapeutic touch workshop about eleven years ago. One of our assignments was to take a partner and quietly meditate while physically close to them. The results were a little upsetting. Each pair reported back to the group after an exchange in positions was completed. One would meditate and the other would think of something meaningful to them. Results varied from metaphorical to literal.

I think that healing only starts when the problem is acknowledged, but my twist on this concept states that healing starts when many of us acknowledge the problem. Kinda like a metaphysical group hug. That’s we we should strive to build and maintain a sense of community.

  90. This is why energy healing works – and why the Domancic Method of Bioenergy always address the head and heart when treating every health condition.

  91. Spreading lies… the heart is muscle tissue nothing more. It generated more of your electromagnetic field than anything else because it’s always moving and making friction.  try rubbing your feet on carpet a lot then touch a door knob. POW electromagnetism!!    Try to find a credible Neurologist that will put his reputation on the line to say there are neurons in the heart.   PS take some physics, chemistry, and biology somewhere outside the state of Kansas public school system

    • Why so afraid? Suddenly that perfect world of yours where survival of the fittest begins to crumble and something as simple as common sense begins to kick in you fight against it. Don’t be afraid.
