I made this music video to tell a story based on a dream I had. It's a story of an awakening brought about by a voyage through the cosmos.

Since it's all based on a dream, and the images are largely symbolic, it may not make the most sense. If that's the case for you, here's what's going on:

At the start, we are introduced to the location of a nearby star system and it's relationship to the planet Earth. We then meet extra-terrestrial beings who welcome us on a journey of awakening. We travel through the Cosmos, finally reaching Earth, where we see humanity's destruction, deforestation, overpopulation, pollution, and industrialization. Our last view of Earth is of a vast parking lot filled with cars (a reference to the lyrics "they paved paradise to put up a parking lot" from the song "Big Yellow Taxi"). We then zoom out, but as we do, we see it all disappearing. As we zoom out to view the Earth in it's entirety, it quickly spins backwards, symbolically rewinding, as starships take off.

At this point, after seeing humanity's negative impact on the planet, we experience a form of enlightenment and awakening, initiated by our contact with the alien beings. Following this awakening, we journey back to Earth. But now we see things differently, we see some of Earth's other inhabitants, its astonishing beauty and diversity, and humans living with this in mind by using wind and solar energy to power our civilization in a more sustainable manner. The video ends with a message of love, before we take off for the stars once more…

"We are the local embodiment of a cosmos grown to self-awareness, starstuff pondering the stars. Our obligation to survive is owed not just to the species, not just to the planet, but to that Cosmos, ancient and vast, from which we spring." -Carl Sagan
