January's full Moon, occurring on January 19 in the United States and January 20 in Australia, is on the last degree of Cancer and it holds a rather strong charge around the idea of change, revolution and the need for discussions, often secret. It is interesting to note that the Sabian Symbol for the full Moon is quite a 'feminine' image and the Symbol for the Sun at the full Moon is quite a 'masculine' image. The Sabian Symbol for the full Moon is Cancer 30: A Daughter Of The American Revolution.
This Symbol speaks of taking what's happening and assessing what needs to be done in order to move things forward. Is there a need for a revolution? Is there a need to stick with the traditional tried and true ways that have worked for some time? Perhaps you want to throw in the towel and change things, even your life, radically – or, you could find revolutionary change being forced on you even though you'd like to stick with the status quo. Are you in desperate need of changes in your life and yet frightened to move towards them? Perhaps you're wanting to throw things out even if they're measuring up to expectations.

The Caution: Supporting battles that have already been fought. False feelings of superiority. Having to be “in the club” to be accepted. Narrow-minded conservatism. Glorifying the past. Relying on old traditions that were, in their day, radical and transforming. Rejecting one’s inheritance.
The degree of the Sun at this full Moon is Capricorn 30: Directors Of A Large Firm Meet In Secret Conference. It seems that decisions and discussions may have to be had with others in order to determine the course of action to be taken. There can be a feeling of being out of direct control of the decisions being made by the 'Directors of a Large Firm'. No matter how much you are on the "inside", you may not be hearing all that is being said. Hence, there is a need to be cautious about what you presume, or imagine, to be really going on. Are you involved in a process without really knowing the bigger picture? You may be excluded or shut out because you don't really have enough knowledge of the system, or have the authority, to make an informed decision or to call the shots. There can be a feeling that someone is watching or spying on others, or talking about them, which can lead to a sense of paranoia with suspicion of the motives pervading the atmosphere. Information may be deliberately withheld as a way of maintaining power by secrecy. Some may not want others to know what's going on, or is that just how it looks from the outside? Strategies may need to be decided upon and carried out in the best way for all concerned.

Suspicion of motives of Capricorn 30 is backed up by Saturn (the ruler of the Capricorn Sun) on Libra 18: Two Men Placed Under Arrest Give An Accounting For Their Acts Before The Tribunal Of Society. This Symbol, especially with Saturn on it stationary retrograde (which basically means it spends a much longer time than usual on the degree), brings relationship issues to the surface. Some will probably find that they are stuck in a relationship they should perhaps leave, or, it could be that they are tied in some way with one another and can't escape or someone may be doing things that are unwelcome, or, sneaking around behind someone's back. It can show situations where people want to be together, but for some reason can't be. Of course, there can be good sides to Saturn on this degree, with people committing to each other – making pledges to stay together.

The Caution: Refusing to conform. Sabotage of relationship values. Feeling stuck, unable to move. Staying in relationships when one should go. Deadening emotions. Shutting off to cope. Not having one’s point of view heard. Losing one’s authority. Being bound karmically. Being tied up and limited.
It seems that secrets are big news with many at the moment with these degrees. This is strongly backed up by Venus on Sagittarius 13: A Widow's Past Is Brought To Light. This often speaks of the past catching up with someone, things being revealed, secrets coming to light. Stories, photographs, records, letters or diaries may provide clues to something you've been wondering about.

The Caution: Old stories best forgotten. Dead-end feelings hanging around. Gossip and family secrets that hurt and otherwise cause harm. Feelings rehashed detrimental to stability. Someone being caught out. Bearing the weight of secrets.
All of this reminds me of the big story of Wikileaks. I've been watching for that story to come to light again – it seems to me that it's only a matter of time. Perhaps the 'powers that be' are keeping the Wikileaks story out of the media for the time being (or not focusing on it as much as they were before).
While all of this unveiling and exposing seems to be happening, there's some relief from Uranus and Jupiter trining the Moon and sextiling the Sun. Uranus is on Pisces 28: A Fertile Garden Under The Full Moon. This speaks of fullness and fertility, peaks of energy and experiences, having a brilliantly active unconscious life, waiting for the right time to approach or handle a situation, the effect of the Moon, astrology and predictive practices, the time for harvesting the rewards of hard work, nature sprites, vegetables, herbs and nature's bounty. It can be difficulty in shutting down the mind in order to rest or go to sleep or emotions that can get out of hand.
Jupiter is on the last degree of the zodiac – Pisces 30: A Majestic Rock Formation Resembling A Face Is Idealized By A Boy Who Takes It As His Ideal Of Greatness, As He Grows Up, He Begins To Look Like It. This speaks of deciding what you want to be and moving towards it, concrete manifestation of one's ideals, enduring truths, culmination of efforts, projections of ideal images, wanting to be big and successful, wanting a sense of immortality, defining one's fate through conscious manifestation. The question now for many is, what is your vision of your life? What do you want to grow into? Jupiter is set to move into Aries in the few days following the full Moon. This signals the beginning of a whole new phase, especially for Aries and people with Aries placements.
Mars, the ruler of Aries, is on a fabulously healing degree. It's Aquarius 4: A Hindu Healer Glows With A Mystic Healing Power. This speaks of divine healing potency, natural healing methods, going on faith, humility in the face of greatness, yogis and fakirs, finding one's spiritual center, healers of all kinds, glowing health, radiating love, spirit and calm, tapping vast reservoirs of healing forces, auras that radiate, pranic energy, reiki healing, etc.

All in all this is an amazing full Moon that is bound to push us into new depths of understanding as secrets, often from the past, come out into the open in order to heal our lives and lead us into a new sense of being.
