Having finished my previous scribble, I twirled the crutch around and focused on the kids’ screen. They are watching the Sisterhood of the Travelling pants, a movie about a bunch of girls learning to share a single pair of perfect fit pants. A terminally ill youngster just in her teens explained to her older friend after she died and went to Heaven:

Bailey:
[
in a video-recording] Hey, it’s me, Bailey. You
don’t have to use this in your movie or anything, although now that I
think of it, fainting in Wallman’s does kind of qualify me as a loser.
But then again, wearing a price sticker on your forehead probably makes
you one, too. Ya know, I don’t know, Tibby, maybe the truth is there’s a
little bit of loser in all of us, ya know? Being happy isn’t having
everything in your life be perfect. Maybe it’s about stringing together
all the little things like wearing these pants or getting to a new level
of Dragon’s Lair – making those count for more than the bad stuff.
Maybe we just get through it… and that’s all we can ask for.

Remembering my tirade about All of Us sucking,  I couldn’t help but smile…. (Clever Dead Girl)

On a different note: one of the kids mentioned once having seen a movie (Center Stage: Turn it Up), where EVERY time they noticed a clock in this multi-day story, the time displayed was exactly in sync with their local clock!
